This presentation will put forward the vision and accomplishments of the Food Policy for Canada with a view of exploring long term outcomes, governance of the Food Policy, key initiatives and a look ahead on opportunities to improve social, health, environmental, and economic food-related outcomes.
Patrick Verreault joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) in 2009 and has had the opportunity to work on a broad range of files including economic analysis of on farm environmental practices, policy integration of science and technology and bioeconomy. Patrick was appointed Deputy Director of Food Policy in January of 2020. Patrick has a Masters degree in Agricultural Economics from Laval University.
